I'm a bilingual communications professional, Spanish Certified Medical Interpreter, translator, and language access leader with more than 15 years of experience helping people understand complex information and communicate across language and cultural differences.

My career began in healthcare interpreting, where I learned that effective communication goes beyond translating words. It requires understanding context, recognizing cultural nuances, listening carefully, and adapting a message so it is clear, natural, and meaningful to the people receiving it.

I spent more than a decade at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, specializing in pediatric medicine and palliative care, before joining St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. At St. Jude, I progressed from Medical Interpreter to Supervisor of Interpreter Services, combining hands-on language expertise with leadership, translation, content review, and strategic communication.

My work has also extended beyond interpreting. I have collaborated with communications teams to review and refine Spanish-language patient and family content, website materials, clinical information, and institutional communications. I bring a strong editorial perspective to medical and public-facing content, with particular attention to accuracy, clarity, consistency, tone, and cultural relevance.

Throughout my career, I have led professional organizations, presented to healthcare professionals, mentored language professionals, and volunteered for more than 10 years providing Spanish interpretation and translation in a community clinic. As a CQ® Certified Facilitator and CQ® Train-the-Trainer, I bring cultural intelligence to the way I approach communication, collaboration, and content.

Today, I bring together language expertise, healthcare knowledge, cultural insight, and editorial experience to create communication that is clear, purposeful, and human.
